Centralized Admission
Centralized admission is the main form of admission, which is carried out through the transition tests (PDT, as per its Spanish acronym; former PSU). This admission process does not depend directly on the University. It is carried out centrally at the national level and involves the Chilean universities of the Council of University Rectors and a group of private universities attached to the Single Admission System (SUA).
Special Admission
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile also offers an additional admission track for applicants who already have a higher education, applicants who have special needs to take the admission tests and applicants who are outstanding in national sports, artistic or scientific fields.
Through this track it is also possible to enter the Bachelor of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences and Mathematics Degrees. The application process is done centrally in Admission UC. Read more about the Special Admission Track.
